Scole Inn Hotel

My visit to Scole Inn, Norfolk was fantastic. Everything went well. The building was amazing. The staff were just delightful, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Lovely relaxed and relaxing. Cleanliness was superb. The room was just lovely. The breakfast was great. I felt like I was staying in five star luxury at a very affordable price. Very good value for money. Would recommend to anyone who wants something slightly different and a bit quirky. Can't rate this highly enough.

An old coaching house set back from the main road from Diss to Norwich. Set in a quiet village with a pub 2 minutes walk away. There is ample parking on site which is set securely behind the hotel. The 'front of house' staff appeared to be just one person in the afternoon, that being George, who was excellent at juggling being on Reception, greeting guests, serving drinks and taking food orders. Very affable young man with a great work ethic and very pleasant, helpful demeanour. The kitchen serves up some good food too.

The rooms outside in the annex were lovely. Breakfast was good, although I did get charged for breakfast when already included in my rate, but Scole Inn have offered to refund me. All in all, the room suited me for the purpose of staying over one night in Diss for a private event.

Clean and comfortable and an ideal location for us because we have family nearby. The cooked breakfast was excellent, a wonderful scrambled eggs on toast.

Room was spacious, with good bathroom. Breakfast was OK, but extra cost - Eggs Benedict with bacon as they’d run out of ham the previous day. Sizeable car park (no EV chargers yet though).
